Good Solid Sedan - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By Robert - December 26 - 8:00 pmI like the size and comfort of this car. I upgraded to some black rims and it looks like a B/B 450 in black and that works for me. The car could use a GPS and iPod/MP3 interface. A driver needs to look over the shoulder because of the blind spots in the mirrors. My wife loves the individual heated seat controls. My children covet the car with the upgrade rims.

Four Months with my Ford 500 Limited - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By L Jackman - November 16 - 2:46 amIm happy with the car. I had an SUV for 6 years, loved it. This is a nicer ride, smooth; I love the high seating---good road visibility and comfort. I never thought I would buy a Ford---Im totally impressed and recommend this to anyone looking for a larger vehicle.

Ford 500 - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By Jerry Paison - August 13 - 11:30 pmThis car is the best "comfort" car I ever owned. The engine/CVT are smooth and quite. The interior seats are comfortable, and interior space is huge. The truck will carry a lot of luggage, golf clubs, etc.

Happily surprised - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By Bill - June 18 - 10:40 amI use this car for work and am very satisfied with the mileage. Have owned Crown Vics and Marquis and this car gives me the same large sedan feel with double the mpg. Have had some issues with body rust on the doors & trunk lid. Otc brake pads last longer than original & have had to replace the front rotors recently.

500 A Good Choice - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By richtn1 - May 30 - 2:23 amI have enjoyed my Ford 500. It gets great gas mileage and has a very smooth but controlled ride. The only things I would change are the passenger seat and the tranny. The tranny needs a sport mode so the driver can select the gear manually during spirited driving. The passengers seat needs to be 8 way adjustable like the drivers seat. I cant imagine anyone hauling lumber in this nice interior.

Best Sedan For The $$ - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By rockinroller - July 29 - 5:44 amBought my 06 SEL FWD used for $5000 recently and can tell you its the absolute BEST BUY Ive ever made for a used vehicle. I had the 07 Limited AWD for a couple of years (also used) and in retrospect probably should not have sold it. It was great in the (Michigan) winters, got super mileage for a big car (26+ highway), seated 5 adults comfortably and the only issue I had was with the rear brakes wearing out after only 15K miles. This recent 2006 purchase reminds me of the great qualities that Ford built into these vehicles and had they been "faster" and perhaps a bit cheaper (than the $30K price tag for the Limited AWD), theyd probably still be around.

Many problems.. - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By Marla - May 9 - 3:40 amI have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. Power steering going out, told the rack n pinion need to be replaced. Brakes are a major problem with this vehicle.. had them replaced twice so far, along with rotos, only 80,000 miles. First set of brakes under 15k miles. Now, my fuel pump went out.. only had this car 3 years! Ford will not stand up to their product! Grinding and cracking noises in steering.

Comfort - 2006 Ford Five Hundred
By gary maddox - March 30 - 8:33 amThe car isnt designed for tall people to drive. Cant tilt the steering wheel to see fuel, temp. gauges. Not good tilt system. Not enough leg room. When seat is all the way back arms are extended so far youre tired when you drive very long. The car wanders. Trunk is too heavy, hard to open. Hood has prop. Trunk light isnt located good and times off to soon.
